Robert McCormack

Robert has served as the director of government relations for KU Medical Center since 2014. During this time, he has been instrumental to KU's government affairs efforts on initiatives such as the KU Cancer Center's successful bid to earn national status, the development of the Health Education Building, and the procurement of ongoing state funding to support medical education and outreach.

In addition to his government affairs role, in fall 2024 he was named Chief of Staff to Executive Vice Chancellor Steve Stites.

Prior to joining the university, Robert spent three years with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a management analyst, where we worked with consumer and industry groups, state, local and federal government agencies, grantees and other stakeholders to support the building of effective inter-agency and inter-organization working relationships.
